The Venue
The land of The Cedar Gate is a story in itself. Originally tended for crops and cattle, it has been part of the Hill family legacy for generations. It is brimming with memories of family gatherings and Christmas traditions, watered with spilled orange juice and syrup from boys’ camping trips, and seasoned with countless hours of prayer, reflection, and revelation. For many people, The Cedar Gate is a place of refuge and solitude to seek God, find rest, and escape the busyness of life long enough to connect with what matters most.

Pistol 1: This 1 day course lays the foundation for all future pistol training. Safety, range etiquette, clearing, loading, equipment, fundamentals of fire, draw-stroke, clearing stoppages, common mistakes, and warrior mindset are the main subjects tackled in this essential course. Though this training is designed for beginners, the subject matter and technique allows students to build realistic skills that can survive the test of stress and small time constraints.
Pistol 2: This course begins with a review of safety protocols and an audit of each individual’s shooting fundamentals and basic skill sets (draw stroke, reloads, etc). During this course, students will learn use of cover/concealment, concealed carry considerations, fighter mindset, and movement.
Pistol 3: This course is all about moving, shooting, and thinking under stress. Students should be expected to have already gained unconscious competency in their fundamentals of fire and basic skill sets. Topics covered include (but are not limited to): fighting from concealment, one-handed operation, movement, use of cover, integrating hand-to-hand combat, and integrating tactics in order to ‘fight smarter’.
This course includes force-on-force scenarios. Protective masks, protective gloves, guns, and training ammo for the force-on-force portion will be provided. See the ‘What You Need’ section above to ensure you have adequate safety gear.
You may shoot reloaded ammo (at your own risk) or steel case. You MAY NOT shoot any steel penetrating core, i.e. NATO green tip.
Due to the unique nature of this experience, as well as the more complicated logistics involved, all sales are final.
