I got this knife after exchanging a fox folder my lovely wife got me for Christmas. The exchange process was very straight forward, so yah for that! Just got the karambit in yesterday. When i first researched the knife, the blade steel is actually a very good tool steel and has a good hardness rating, so this thing should be able to take some punishment. I love the knife tool it comes with. So much easier than trying to work with micro-allen wrenches. I very quickly changed the clip to the opposite side so that upon drawing the knife, i have the knife blade "towards me" grip. This way if it comes time to stabby stabby, i can also get rip cuts in like their knife fighter recommended. The handle is very sturdy, and the grip plates are very textured and "dry" feeling. If you have held one of these or the fox folder you know what i mean. The sharpness out of the box was razor sharp. I have the bald spot on my arm and leg to prove it! Overall, i am very impressed with this knife. Looking at other karambit knives on the market, the design and shape on this one is far better. Most are the bird's head design which don't look like they will have a practical use anywhere else in life. My son has already asked for one of his own. Great product and great info on the knife and how to implement this tool!
I've only had this knife a few days but I like it quite a lot. It's a convenient size for edc and extremely sharp. The blade has a nice smooth grind. I really like the claw that deploys the blade as you draw from your pocket. With just a few minutes of practice it deploys with little effort. The key is to rotate the knife as you draw it. I have larger hands and the handle is just long enough for me to grip it without placing a finger in the ring. This allows you to use the knife as a striking tool as well. The knife is light weight and slim.
