Splinter EDC Knife - Best Fixed Blade Appendix Concealed Carry Knife With Sheath
Forged from the mythical bladesmithing minds of Alec Steele and Will Stelter, the Splinter is a refined tool of lethality and precision. The fixed-blade comes appendix-carry ready in an adjustable sheath, and can be easily concealed in other locations. The slim design and profile optimizes quick-deployment and maximum carnage in both defensive and offensive scenarios. The J-clip belt attachment pivots on the sheath, ensuring that the combination is easy to carry without causing discomfort or intrusion. Tailor the positioning and alignment of the clip according to your personal preferences.. The sheath also allows for adjustable retention.
Crafted from AUS-8 steel, the blade boasts a discreet and stylish black finish thanks to its PVD coating. The textured G10 handle ensures a secure grip in any conditions, designed with a forward angle for a natural, punching-fist-grip during use.
If you're looking for additional mounting configurations, pair the Splinter sheath with an UltiClip for even more flexibility.

This is a 5 star knife
This is a 5 star knife but the belt clip needs to be upgraded to the ulticlip

Splinter Knife
The Splinter is an awesome knife! Love the feel in my hand. Grip angle is great. The kydex sheath is adjustable depending on your mounting situation or preference. The ABE-L steel is not used enough in knife making and is a great material. I highly recommend The Splinter as part of your EDC.

Great knife, not so great sheath
The knife itself is ergonomic, durable, and easy to wield. The limitation and drawback is the sheath that it comes with. The standard clip is an absolute knuckle buster and the upgraded Ulticlip is just sloppy. Big sad! I’m going to see if I can find another clip solution or have a custom sheath made. Otherwise a great blade that I feel will perform as advertised.

Splinter EDC knife
Let me start by saying this is a very well made product. Feels very solid, blade comes sharp out of the box. The knife itself is fantastic. Only gripe is the grip is a little on the small side so it may be harder to grip while wearing gloves. The sheath is well made, knife clicks solidly into place and the screw for adjustable retention is a nice touch. But the truly terrible part of this product is the clip. First off, the clip extends so far that it prevents one from getting a quick and comfortable grip when drawing. And second, for some reason this clip is made for 2 inch belts. I can understand if this was purpose made with law enforcement officers in mind. However, the product description states it is for EDC and the average citizen does not wear a 2 inch duty belt. It still works on 1.5 inch belts but there is a fair amount of play, making it feel far less stable when drawing. Overall a solid product but the clip situation really needs to be resolved. I had to fix mine by replacing the clip with an Ulticlip Slim 3.3 and it works well so far.

Good despite flaws - splinter
Better than 3 stars, maybe not quite a 4. This is a knife that I really like the feel, finish, and design of. However there were some flaws that needed to be addressed: the clip is on the wrong side of the handle for iwb carry. The clip blocks proper grip of the knife in any type of speedy draw. Not a big deal for me, just some extra kydex and a clip relocate… bigger complaint is after an hour of “dry fire” and a few days of carry, the handle pieces have started to slip/loosen I presume due to the screws backing off. Again, some simple loctite and it should be all set. But for those not interested in tinkering, I can see these being bigger downsides. Knife is sharp and ergonomic and for a budget knife, I like it.

Splinter EDC Knife
I really like this knife. I gave it to my dad for a present, but had to check it out when I first got it. The retention is really tight in the beginning. I didn't think I could get it out without loosening the screw first, because it didn't want to come out...until it did. Seven stitches later, I can say it does it's job REALLY well! It did seem to start coming out much easier after the first time. It has a really good feel in your hand and I'm sure will be a great EDC knife that I hope my dad will not really need.

Excellence
Ladies, this is a must have. I’m a short 5’2” with an athletic build and this has become a knife of my dreams. Comfortable carry? Check. But what about with running shorts? Check. High waisted LuLu leggings. Check. Jeans? Check. Business casual? Or Business class? Check and check. You’ll forget it’s there. Adjustable retention and intuitive grip. You won’t regret this purchase. For the men reading to the end of this review- do your lady a favor, gift her this knife and set herself up for protection and confidence everyday.

Splinter Knife
I really like the knife. It is the perfect size and shape knife. Knife feels great in the hand is already sharp. The clip however is extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable when I draw. I will have to do something about it. Knife itself is a 5 but the sheath and clip are a 3.

Lost Love
I loved this little knife! I wore it every day, usually in the 9:00 position (behind the front left pocket). I've had it for a few months but noticed the retention didn't "click" anymore when holstering the knife. I got home, two days ago, and changed clothes when I got home. When I went to take off the knife, it was gone! I had been Christmas shopping and made numerous stops, so there's no telling where it fell out. I feel like I just lost the girl of my dreams! Just not the same, without her. Be very careful with this knife. If you use it everyday, or wear it every day, it will need adjusting. I only used mine once, to open a letter and it cut through it like butter. My EDC Knife was used for everyday stuff. "Splinter", was virtually a Virgin and staying that way. Guess I'll replace her when I can.
